Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of MotionInLight ("the Service"), operated by Majestic Light Group ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

MotionInLight generates cinematic video compositions from a written brief, an optional source website, or both, using an AI model to author the composition and rendering it to video. Output quality, content, and accuracy are not guaranteed — you're responsible for reviewing anything generated before you use or publish it.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You're responsible for the security of your account credentials and for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us right away at studio@motioninlight.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

Paid plans (Creator, Pro, Studio, Agency) are billed monthly in advance through Stripe, our payment processor. We don't store your card details ourselves. Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until you cancel. Changing plans takes effect according to Stripe's standard proration rules for upgrades and downgrades.

Usage limits (exports, AI prompts, seats) reset at the start of each billing period and don't roll over.

You can cancel anytime from your billing page. Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep access through the end of the period you've already paid for. Because exports and AI generations are consumed as you use them, we don't provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods or unused quota, except where required by law. If something on our end went wrong with a specific charge, email us and we'll sort it out.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Generate content that's illegal, infringing, defamatory, or hateful
• Impersonate a person, brand, or organization without authorization
• Submit a website URL you don't have the right to capture or represent
• Attempt to abuse, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the Service
• Circumvent usage limits or resell access without our written consent

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice depending on severity.

As between you and us, you own the video compositions you generate, subject to the commercial-use license included with your plan (see Pricing). You're responsible for making sure you have the rights to any brief, brand material, or source website you submit. We retain all rights to the MotionInLight platform, templates, and underlying technology.

Delivering the Service means sending your prompts, and — if you provide one — screenshots of the website you submit, to Anthropic's Claude API for composition generation. Payment is handled by Stripe, authentication by Clerk, and rendering compute by our GPU infrastructure provider. Each operates under its own terms and privacy practices in addition to ours.

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't warrant that generations will be accurate, uninterrupted, or error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we'll make reasonable efforts to notify active subscribers. Continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
