Privacy Policy

1. What We Collect
Account info — name, email, and profile image, via Clerk when you sign up.
Generation content — the briefs you write, any website URL you submit (and a screenshot we capture of it), and the compositions we generate for you.
Billing info — handled entirely by Stripe. We store your plan and subscription status, never your card number.
Usage data— how many exports and AI prompts you've used, for enforcing plan limits.
2. How We Use It
- To operate your account and generate your compositions
- To process payments and manage your subscription
- To enforce plan usage limits and prevent abuse
- To respond when you contact us for support
We don't sell your data. Ever.
3. Who We Share It With
We use a small set of processors to run the Service, each bound to their own privacy and security commitments:
- Anthropic — processes your briefs and any website screenshots to generate compositions
- Clerk — authentication and account management
- Supabase — database and file storage
- Stripe — payment processing and billing
- Our GPU rendering infrastructure provider — converts your composition into a video file
We don't share your data with anyone else, except where required by law.
4. Data Retention & Deletion
Generations stay in your library until you delete them. Deleting a generation from your dashboard permanently removes it, its export history, and its rendered video files — this can't be undone.
You can delete your entire account at any time from Settings. This removes your MotionInLight profile and every generation tied to it. To request deletion another way, email studio@motioninlight.com.
5. Cookies
We use session cookies set by Clerk to keep you signed in. We don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
6. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Access to your data server-side is scoped to your account. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable, industry-standard measures to protect your data.
7. Children's Privacy
The Service isn't directed at, or intended for use by, anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect data from children.
8. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to certain processing. You can exercise most of these directly from your account, or by emailing studio@motioninlight.com.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date above.
